Claire Steadham Noojin
Claire Noojin was born in Auburn, Alabama, but has lived in Mobile since the age of five. She attended Auburn University and the University of South Alabama where she earned Bachelor’s and Master’s of Elementary Education degrees. After having taught a total of thirty-three years, Claire retired in May 2010 from the Mobile County Public School System. She has two sons. Powell (Melissa) and Drew. She enjoys traveling, painting, reading, and spending as much time as possible with friends, family and her two young grandsons, Russell and Trey.
Several years prior to retirement and through the encouragement of neighbor and friend, Kathy Friedline, Claire began painting classes with Kay Rodriguez.
Claire currently works in acrylics, pen and ink, watercolor, collage, encaustic, assemblage, and textiles.
